The Tools

Our client is set to craft a one-of-a-kind destination that blends nightlife, dining, and entertainment into a single, elevated experience. And to make everything seamless, there’s an intuitive app that lets guests book rooms, book seats, browse menus, and plan their night, all from the palm of their hand.
Project Overview
The goal was to strike the right balance between creativity and functionality, despite the time constraints But also intuitive and user-centric
Another significant hurdle was the volume of content the client wanted to include, both in terms of text and visuals. The challenge was to present all this information in a way that felt cohesive and digestible within the limited space of a mobile interface, without overwhelming the user. We had to be highly strategic in our content hierarchy, layout decisions, and information architecture to maintain clarity while still delivering a rich and informative user experience.

In addition to engaging with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs for this app, we also conducted a competitive analysis of similar applications. This process allowed us to identify key features, strengths, and gaps in the market, which ultimately guided us in refining our product strategy
Research Competitive Analysis

80 Proof Ultra
Hollywings
80Proof Ultra is one of the apps we developed. Its main strength lies in catering to people who want to enjoy their nightlife experience at clubs without any hassle. However, the app currently focuses only on lounge services, without offering suites or karaoke rooms. That said, some of its features could still inspire or be integrated into the Alexa app
Holywings is one of the leading players in the nightlife industry, and their app provided significant insights during our research. Its wide range of features demonstrates the potential of a comprehensive nightlife platform; however, the level of complexity may overwhelm users and dilute the core experience. From our analysis, only selected features that directly enhance convenience and user engagement are worth adapting for our nightclub app

Black Owl
Black Owl is also a major player in the nightlife entertainment app space, and it has served as a useful reference for identifying and mapping out the features that might be needed in our app. However, its design feels outdated, the interface lacks visual appeal, and the app is prone to occasional crashes. These shortcomings present opportunities for us to improve upon the concept by delivering a more modern, stable, and user-friendly experience

The opening night was a full house, with 500+ people download the app on the Google Play Store and a large number of guests reserving through the app. Around 75% booked the lounge, while the rest opted for the karaoke suites. Most guests expressed satisfaction with the information provided within the app, though some suggested additional features, such as a dedicated section for public relations and the inclusion of a digital food menu.
Results and Impact
After we did all of the design and launched the we gather feedback from stakeholders and user. We found out that
Users value clarity over aesthetics
During testing, most users preferred a simpler layout with clear labels rather than a visually complex interface.
